In Search of Aliens Season 1, Episode 2 â€" Nazi Time Travelers HDHQ

At the height of World War II, the Nazis engaged their top scientists to develop “wonder weapons”â€"weapons that were so scientifically advanced they could have turned the tide of the war against the Allies. According to testimony, one of the top-secret projects was code-named “Die Glocke.” Die Glocke was believed to be a bell-shaped time travel device that could soar through the sky and eventually reach the speed of light and beyond. Did Die Glocke actually exist? And if so, could it have been based on alien technology? Theorist Giorgio A. Tsoukalos travels from Poland to Pennsylvania on the trail of the Nazis’ “wonder weapon.” Did the Nazis find advanced knowledge in ancient texts that enabled them to develop anti-gravity technology? And was the construction of a time travel device made possible by reverse-engineering extraterrestrial technology?

Rookie Blue Season 5 Review “Deal With The Devil” HDHQ

Rookie Blue Season 5 Episode 7 Deal with the Devil (6)

This week’s episode of Rookie Blue was dominated by a fire bomber, a random thumb, cannolis vs. cannelloni, Missy and Duncan’s hearing and Chris’s drug addiction. We all knew this day was going to come for both Missy and Chris, but so soon?

Oliver was completely unaware of just how bad Duncan was after Andy hid most of the rookie’s inadequacies. Unfortunately she waited until now to tell the truth about her training with Duncan which makes them both sweat prior to the hearing. Things only get worse when the precinct smells of trash, Duncan gets a fantastic lawyer and Missy meets the man who doesn’t remember her, but is there to defend her. Duncan is pretty aggressive, a surprise considering how much of a coward he was during the better part of his training. The whole mess leaves Andy’s job in jeopardy until Oliver looks to make a deal with the inspector (devil) which would allow Duncan back on the force.

While all of this drama is going on Gail ends up babysitting Oliver’s daughter while trying to reach out to Holly. Gail finds out however, that Holly has moved on. You actually feel bad for Gail and even more so when she loses Oliver’s daughter.

Meanwhile, Dov is equally devastated when he finally discovers what Chris has floating around in his car. It’s a bit unbelievable that a cop would have something illegal like this just sitting in his car, but he seems like a junkie so it’s plausible. When Dov confronts him Chris knows he has done wrong, telling him to mind his own business. Dov reminding he that he is a cop ends their confrontation quickly.

The episode ends with Sam and Andy talking about Oliver and the Duncan situation. It’s hard to feel bad for her when Oliver so clearly stuck his neck out on the line. What do you think? Leave your comments below.

Comic Con 2014: Getting on The Blacklist HDHQ

Keen and Reddington - The Blacklist

The third day of Comic Con 2014 found acclaimed actor James Spader, who stars as Raymond “Red” Reddington on the NBC drama The Blacklist joined by the show’s executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath, taking to the stage of the San Diego Convention Center to talk about their hit series.

James, of course, first spoke about how playing Red has been “quite a journey” for him and that he wanted to extend a “thank you to (everyone) for watching” the show. He also shared that he “has just a few less questions than (the fans)” about the mysteries behind the show, such as who is Elizabeth’s real father and just where Red got the blacklist. The executive producers also shared that the mystery about Elizabeth’s real father will “continue to be explored”, but a reveal won’t be made just yet.

Among the reveals made for season two included:

• Berlin (guest star Peter Stomare) is on the run and we will see more of him;
• Fans will see how the team recovers from all of the aftermath in the season one finale;
• Fans will see how Red lives with what happened;
• Fans will learn if Tom (series regular Ryan Eggold) is really dead or not;
• Actress Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) will have a recurring role in the show; and,
• Fans will see more of Alan Alda’s character and will learn more about the Cabal too.

James shared that it has been “interesting running into people all over the place who are entertained by the procedural style of the show, but they (also) love the serialized style of the show (too)”.

When asked by an audience member what it is like to be an anti-hero, James responded that he “loved watching old movies when he was growing up and many of those movies featured characters who were anti-heroes”; in short he said “I love them”. He further shared that “everything I’ve learned about him, (Red) knows his capacity for goodness and his capacity for badness. I am confident that we won’t learn that he is fully righteous”.

The executive producers also briefly talked about the music that is featured in the episodes, sharing that Jon Bokenkamp is responsible for all of that; the music “changes and shifts the tone of (each) episode in ways you won’t expect. Jon is also responsible for the “one-liners” uttered by Red, as he likes to put the character in as many weird position as possible to (explore) the moral ambiguity of Red”.

The DVD of the first season of ‘The Blacklist’ will be available on August 12 while the season premiere of the NBC drama will air on Monday, September 22 at 10/9c.

Eternity 1994 HDHQ

Eternity is a beautifully-shot documentary that tells the story of Arthur Stace, a Sydneysider who had a hard life that spiralled into alcoholism and despair. In 1930 Arthur heard the call of God at the Baptist Ministry. Although illiterate, he went immediately into the street and wrote theword ‘Eternity’ on the pavement in perfect copperplate handwriting.

Arthur believed in order to spend eternity in Heaven, people had to meet eternity – to learn the spiritual meaning of the word. Several mornings a week for the rest of his life, he would wake up at 5am to go around the streets of Sydney and chalk ‘Eternity’ on pavements and buildings.

It is estimated that Arthur wrote ‘Eternity’ around five hundred thousand times. Workers arriving in the city would see the word freshly written, but not the writer, and so, ‘The man who writes Eternity’ became a legend in Sydney. His message has become an icon of the city, much imitated by artists.

Watch : The Lottery (Lifetime) “The Rules of the Game” HDHQ

The Lottery (Lifetime) “The Rules of the Game” HDHQ

The second episode of The Lottery was more promising than the premiere, but the series continues to ask us to suspend disbelief far too often in order to progress the plot. Before we get into the specifics, here is a short list of absolutely baffling incidents that defied logic:

1) If the government put a tracking device in Elvis’ arm, then why couldn’t they immediately pinpoint where he was?
2) Today, we are already working on technology that will allow police officers to force a car to stop remotely. If that technology exists in 2014, why has it not advanced to the point where Kyle’s car would be on lockdown the minute an APB went out on him in 2025?
3) Even if Kyle managed to flip off the cameras inside the drugstore, given how prevalent satellite and street monitoring is today, could he really escape all cameras even in a rural area?
4) Would America really risk an international incident by withholding embryos from other countries after signing a treating vowing to share/return embryos if they were ever fertilized?
5) Also, given how advanced science is in other developed countries, I find it suspicious America cracked the mystery first…unless every egg was fertilized by Kyle’s sperm in which case, these 100 kids are not super useful in terms of saving humanity.
6) Two out of six of the world’s last six-year-olds not only live in America, their parents are old friends?
7) The government waterboards the only scientist who has successfully fertilized human embryos, threatens her and her boyfriend because why? If they had never fired her, she never would have stolen the embryo and had they not deleted all of her files she would be much closer to fertilizing more.
8)Why is all futuristic technology see-through? We all understand that would suck right?

All of that aside, the story moved along at a nice pace and we got a closer look at the corruption of the government. The President is just concerned with numbers, but his underlings are busy setting up a mother concentration camp. It was nice to see the show pause, at least for a moment, and feature a woman who had no interest in joining the lottery. Meanwhile, I also appreciate the idea that the government will not guarantee the surrogates are the mothers. That adds an even darker aspect to the series. These women do not realize they are signing up to be human incubators and that the government will potentially take these children to raise in a controlled environment. Add in their continued threats to Dr. Alison and the future the series is building becomes creepier and creepier. Do we really want to bring children into a world where ethics have deteriorated to the point that a fertility crime strips a person of all rights?

Again, I was most interested in Kyle and Elvis’ flight from the law. While the story was riddled with preposterous actions as I mentioned above, including Elvis eating two cupcakes and nearly killing himself– seriously, Kyle, watch your kid. Watching Kyle go into super dad mode is a highlight of the series for me. He is rivaled only by Vanessa, who can flip between good cop and bad cop in the blink of an eye.

There is a fun show in The Lottery. Granted, I was hoping for smart social commentary, but popcorn television has its place as well, and it is cheaper to check my brain at the door for a blockbuster style romp at home than it is to bust out money for whatever random, nonsensical movie is playing at the theater.
